Robin Alfred

Robin is an experienced organisational consultant, trainer and executive coach who has worked with clients such as Nokia and PWC. He is part of Murabbi Consulting’s network of experienced freelance trainers.

He is also an Associate and Lead Presenter for Olivier Mythodrama, where his work allows him to marry his longstanding interest in theatre and improvisation, with his passion for contributing to the development of tomorrow's leaders.

Robin is trained in a wide variety of approaches to personal and organisational development including: Appreciative Inquiry, the Frameworks for Change Coaching Process, Process Work, Spiral Dynamics and Tools for Corporate Transformation.

Having worked as a trainer, educator and social work manager for 15 years, he has extensive experience of leading and developing groups and individuals in a variety of settings.

Al Orr

Al is an expert researcher and training facilitator with Murabbi consulting. He has been involved with major community-based research projects with various reputable institutes.

He has written and edited a number of works including an extensive guidebook on media work, research on British community leaders, and a series of articles for Emel Magazine. He is Deputy Registrar of the Science Council where he takes the lead on issues of professionalism and trust.

Yawar Baig

Yawar is an international coach, trainer and facilitator who is part of Murabbi consulting’s network of freelance consultants. He specialises in Leadership in Family Businesses, and enabling the critical transition from being ‘Person-driven to becoming Process-driven’ to create Enduring Leadership ©.

Yawar applies his own experience of working both in family businesses and global MNCs to show business families how to grow, yet stay together. In his words, “It’s more about family than about business”. He founded YAWAR BAIG & ASSOCIATES through which he works with prominent family businesses in India and South Africa in the role of Life Coach and Mentor. His skill of working effectively across boundaries of culture, making Eastern values blend with Western systems, is his USP.

His personal style reflects openness, competence, and value based professionalism. He speaks 5 languages. Yawar has designed and implemented interventions in many global organisations based on the application of Leadership & Management fundamentals in an experiential learning format, to enhance knowledge and skill application.

Abdallah Kalam

Abdallah is a strategy consultant with experience ranging across the energy, utilities, manufacturing and public sector industries. Abdallah graduated with an MEng in Engineering, Economics and Management from the University of Oxford and is currently a senior consultant with CRA International.

Prior to joining CRA, he was a consultant with Accenture where he was involved in a number of strategy projects in the energy and healthcare sectors. Abdallah has extensive experience working with public and private organizations in the UK, the Middle East and West Africa and is a member of Murabbi's network of freelance consultants.

Matiur Rahman Choudhury

Matiur is an experienced finance professional who has worked at senior levels in the public and private sector.

He graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science, is a member of the CIPFA and has an MBA from the London Business School. In addition, he has been involved with community activities and educational institutes. He is a member of Murabbi’s network of freelance consultants.

Junaid Ahmed

Junaid Ahmed is a senior management professional with experience in leadership development, HR, corporate services, business, strategy and community development. He has extensive experience and involvement in the third sector and charitable organisations.

After his BSc, he completed his Executive MBA – being awarded distinction for his work on Organisational Development and Performance Management.

Professionally he has over 10 years of management, leadership and training experience within the third sector, and has various accreditations including the Adair ACL and MBTI (Myers-Briggs) practitioner qualification.

He has also been involved in the field of education – having led a unique faith based project to help improve educational attainment levels amongst pupil in mainstream educational institutions. Previously he was engaged in delivering capacity building and network management programme to community organisations. He also has considerable business and executive experience as an entrepreneur having directorships on the boards of several SMEs within the health and fitness, media and publication, and the food retail industry.

Junaid has enormous interest and passion in the field of community and people development. He currently serves on the boards of trustees in various organisations including ELATT (a specialist training centre dedicated to helping people achieve their full potential) and Citizens UK (a powerful grassroots charity working for social, economic and environmental justice).

In the past he has served as the president of a national youth organisation and has spent some time in Middle East studying Arabic and introduction to religious sciences. He is the author of the forthcoming publication – ‘Striving for Excellence – a faith centric approach to Performance Management’.

Ali Gumusay

Ali Aslan Gümüsay is a Doctoral Scholar at the Saïd Business School and Lecturer at Magdalen College (University of Oxford). He is the founder and head of the Advisory Board of the Social Incubator Zahnräder Network.

Ali is also non-executive director in various (social) entrepreneurship start-ups, researcher at the Novak Druce Centre for Professional Services Firms and member of the Think Tank 30, Club of Rome. Previously, he was a strategy consultant with the Boston Consulting Group.

Ali teaches, researches and consults (including for Murabbi) on topics such as Management and Organisation Theory, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Strategy, Leadership, Business Ethics, Islamic Finance and religion and business.

Nurun Ahmed

Nurun is a dynamic, emerging, and down to earth businesswomen who has recently been appointed Murabbi’s Head of Business Development. She featured in BBC’s the Apprentice show in the most recent series. Her vivacious personality and entrepreneurial ability was spotted by BBC One’s The Apprentice series 10 for (among other things) setting up three small businesses within 18 months. Nurun is unprecedented in being the only Muslim Hijabi on the Apprentice.

Nurun, a senior Marketing professional, Fashion Retailer, mother of two and a carer for her parents, has been motivating and inspiring women, by being a source of support in helping them to achieve a work life balance. She is a regular key note speaker at community events across the UK.

While acting as a role model herself, she takes inspiration from her faith but also inspirational figures like Gandhi and her mother. She currently resides in Peterborough with her family.

Nabeel Al-Azami

Nabeel Al-Azami is a senior HR professional and Adair Accredited Leadership Development expert, who won the Chairman’s Leadership award two years in a row (2007 & 2008), while working at one of the world’s largest automobile companies. He has also been a finalist for the CIPD ‘HR Professional of the Year 2015 and led a global department to win ‘HR Team of the Year 2015’.

In his HR profession his roles spanned areas such as talent management, performance, business partnering, leadership development, values alignment, conflict resolution, and employment law.

Having completed his Bachelor’s degree in Management and his Masters in HRM from the University of Manchester (incl. Manchester Business School), he went on to professionally qualify from the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD), having integrated a global body of management knowledge, drawn from the East and West, into his postgraduate research which was viewed as pioneering. He is also a certified practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), from The NLP School in Regent’s Park, London.

In recent years he has focused his work on 'Leadership & Ethics'. He has been invited to noted platforms to present on this area such as the Global Islamic Leadership Program (GILP) in Malaysia, the Relationship Thinking Conference at Cambridge University, the IFLP - 'Islamic Finance Leadership Program' in Markfield (Leicester, UK), and the INGO Learning Forum in London organised by Oxfam and Syracuse University (NYC). He has also been listed as a global leadership trainer by IRTI, a renowned international research and training institute.

Nabeel is a senior member of several organizations, where he is engaged in HR & leadership development work. This includes his role as a member of the board of directors at IIDR and heading global HR for IR Worldwide. In addition he is currently authoring three forthcoming publications on Leadership and People Management, written for a global multicultural audience.
