What kind of leadership do we want to see in our organisations today? And why are so many leaders falling short of expectations?
According to the Institute of Business Ethics, there are been ongoing falls in trust (up to 10% drop per annum at times) upon leaders, in companies, organisations, and government as well. Media reports further indicate a plethora of ethical issued with leaders across business, politics, sports, charities and beyond.
Why is this happening? Is this normal? Why does it seem that ethical people aren’t always effective, and effective people aren’t always ethical. Do those with influence usually have to compromise their integrity? Can those with integrity figure out how to gain influence appropriately?
This course will explore these questions, and help delegates understand the meaning and significance of both ethics and effectiveness. It will help delegates strengthen their ability to balance integrity and influence, and their ability to navigate moral dilemmas.
